The monument comprises a stone circle of prehistoric date, visible as a group of upright and prostrate stones. The monument is being rescheduled to extend protection to the area immediately around the visible stones.
The monument lies in an area of rough grassland at around 420m OD. It comprises a setting of four stones on a low, apparently artificial platform. The stone at the SW of the group is upright and measures approximately 1.2m high. The other three stones are prostrate. The circular platform on which the stones are set measures approximately 18m in diameter and is about 0.6m high.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 50m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
