Part of the Post Medieval wood bank for Fargo Plantation survives as earthworks. It comprises a linear bank measuring between 2m and 5m wide with slight traces of an outer flanking ditch to the east. The section extends NNW/SSE for circa 50m along the eastern side of the plantation. It deviates very slightly in order to avoid the round barrow mound of Amesbury 52 and may overlie the surrounding ring ditch (Monument Number 942672). The wood bank was surveyed at a scale of 1:1000 by English Heritage in April 2009 as part of the Stonehenge WHS Landscape Project.
