A medieval part waterfilled moat, rhomboidal in shape with an extension arm to the north east. It measures circa 40 metres overall, with arms 12 metres wide. The island is circa 16 metres square and raised circa 1 metre above ground level. It was possibly the site of a windmill. In addition to the moated enclosure, there is an adjoining rectangular outer enclosure circa 75 by 110 metres is defined by an 8 metre wide ditch on its north and west sides and a low bank to the south and east. Both are scheduled.
