The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A Roman villa, probably occupied between the 2nd-4th centuries. It was discovered in 1966 and first excavated in 1969. Subsequent excavations have revealed that the villa formed three sides of a square and had several phases though the third and fourth centuries. One building has been consolidated, the other is visible as an earthwork. Scheduled.
Well worth a visit, clear on the ground. However, not signposted and no description. Only the north range is visible at all, but it is fenced and mown.
