Notes

Medieval ringwork and bailey castle surviving as an earthwork but separated by a modern access road. It measures about 100 feet across, with a low bank and a scarp of between 5 and 8 feet. The bailey has no bank. Remains of ridge and furrow extend south and east of the ringwork and belonged to the deserted hamlet of Amaston. Scheduled.
