Bronze Age bowl barrow, Grinsell's Avebury 9, probably excavated in 1849 by Merewether, who found a possible secondary cremation with a richly ornamented urn. The barrow is still extant as a plough-damaged mound 20 metres in diameter and 0.5m high.
