Possible Saxon barrow identified in Junipers Wood on Wye Down. Excavations in 1939 located traces of a primary inhumation. Field investigations in 1963 found the barrow to measure 12.5 metres in diameter and have a maximum height of 1.3 metres. No traces of a ditch were identified. A large central hole in the mound which was probably the remains of the 1939 excavations. Traces of vague mounds situated 50 metres to the southeast were identified as possible additional barrows.
