The nearest postcode is an aid to location, and does not necessarily reflect the actual address of the monument. Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.
A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs. The bowl barrow is centred on ST 8075 8770 and is located on the midslope of an east-facing hillside in the Cotswolds. The barrow has a mound which measures 16 metres north-south and 19 metres east-west and is 1.5 metres high. Surrounding the mound is a ditch from which material was excavated for the construction of the barrow. The top of the mound is pitted; much of this is the result of animal damage, but the possibility of unrecorded investigation in the past cannot be excluded. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Cotswold Hills National Mapping Programme.
