Most scheduled monuments are not occupied buildings and have no postal address or postcode of their own. In rural and coastal areas, the nearest geocodable postal address may be several miles away.

Chesfield: the possible site of a deserted medieval settlement suggested by documentary evidence, there are also earthwork remains of a Post-medieval farm.

User-Submitted Notes

I suspect this entry to be about the same church listed under Church of St Etheldrada, Gravely. The early saints' name has been re-engraved as Etheldreda on the statue at the site. I recall some considerable time ago that some connection with King Ethelred 'the unready' was mentioned to me, however I don't know of anything to substantiate this.

I have had a good look around the area, and this is the only site I can see which can be named a 'Church', as this certainly was.
