Wolf Pit Round Barrow

In this view taken in the first week of October 2013 we are looking on top of the barrow towards Danby Dale head. The figures in the top left of the picture are Grouse Beaters who had just past over Wolf Pits. The day I visited I ended up in the middle of a Grouse Shoot; The beaters were driving the grouse towards and over Wolf Pits just as I arrived on scene to take photos of the barrow much to the consternation of the shooters who were in the butts just to the south of the barrow. To cut a long story short, for safeties sake I ended up in the grouse butts with the shooters whilst they completed the shoot, a very interesting experience.
