The monument comprises an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date, visible as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland at around 65m OD. It comprises an oval enclosure some 40m N-S by 25m, within a ditch some 2m wide. It appears to have an entrance on the SW. The E side of the enclosure is indistinct.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the visible remains and an area around them within which related material may be expected to survive. It is circular with a diameter of 60m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
