Description

The monument comprises a standing stone of prehistoric date. It is being re-scheduled to ensure adequate protection is given to probable archaeological remains around the stone.

The monument stands in a field of improved grassland at around 55m OD. It comprises a solitary standing stone measuring about 2m high by about 1.2m in maximum width.

The area proposed for scheduling comprises the stone and an area around it within which associated deposits may be expected to survive. It is circular with a diameter of 25m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
