Notes

Circular dovecote dating from the 17th century. The stone-built structure has a domed roof and contains rows of nesting boxes set around the walls. It may stand on the site of the medieval manor house of the Dawney family, granted a licence to crenellate in 1336 (see also SX 35 NE 13).
