This small reservoir about 500 feet to the west and above the calcining kilns provided water to the low pressure boilers in the engine house which once stood close by at the top of the incline tramway . The Engine House contained the winding gear for hauling up the iron ore on the incline tramway from Hollins mine to the calcining kilns
